Considered to be the second largest of the five botanical gardens in Sri Lanka, the Hakgala Botanical Garden is a haven for thousands of flora and fauna. Considered to be a temperate mountain garden, there is a network of small streams made of wooden bridges and you can see rock garden, water garden, fern garden, Japanese garden and the seed room while observing this garden. Originally it was used for cinchona and tea cultivation, the current Hakgala Garden is undoubtedly a amazing tourist attraction with a variety of local and foreign flowers and trees.
